Now that I’ve recovered from the Monster High induced coma from yesterday… WOW! I am so pumped for this upcoming year for the brand. Freaky Fusion is really cute and well done but I thought it had some “jump the shark” aspects to it and I was a little worried. HOWEVER, everything coming up is like my wishlist!
Haunted is literally EVERYTHING! I love how it has so much color but is done in a way that reminds me of the late 80’s and early 90’s for toys. Moondreamers comes to mind for some reason. It’s such a nice refreshing turn for the brand while still remaining true to the Monster High brand. Every doll is pretty perfect though I’m still on the fence with River’s face.
Gloom and Bloom is perfection. I hope it gets more dolls COUGH SPECTRA, HONEY AND WYDOWNA COUGH.
I have to say the only thing I wasn’t head over heels for is Mari. She looks a tad generic. We’ll see though. The picture is very LQ.
Overall I can’t wait! Mattel blew me away!
I have a feeling we’re going to get our minds blown today at the panel. I still stand by the 6 pack being a mediocre reveal. But I am hopeful for today.
I am still waiting for the day where we get a line of dolls with extra sets of hands. That would be amazing!
I’m not here to drag Mattel through the mud but the 6 pack as a reveal is really disappointing. If ANY action figure line (Marvel Legends etc) had previously released figures as their daily reveal at SAN. DIEGO. COMIC. CON. people would probably riot. With Casta got to see way more detail finally and the general public have probably never seen her so that was fine. But a 6 pack of the oldest dolls in the line? This isn’t Jem 30 years later. Oh well, I think it’s worth saying these things so we get our opinions out there. This is Mattel afterall. It’s not like they’re hurting for money and a better reveal would break the bank. I’d be more excited if they had released the Dawn of the Dance girls in a 6 pack. I’m hoping this is just the buffer “throw away” reveal and tomorrow we will all get our minds blown.
I’m really hoping that tiny coffin is a new sibling for one of the girls (Frankie or Lala perhaps) and not anything to do with Secret Creepers.
